Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority and in collaboration with European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy the Emirates Gastroenterology and Hepatology Conference 2013 took place in Dubai on the 22-24 March 2013. With participation of over 700 attendees from all over the Gulf region, this conference is a major annual event in field of Gastroenterology.
Roche UAE was participating in the conference not only as a sponsor but also was present in the conference exhibition as well as organized a satellite symposium “HCV Management: Journey With A Reliable Partner”.
The scientific symposium focused on and presented a comprehensive overview of the ways to optimize HCV outcomes and define the triple therapy selection criteria. During the symposium difficult to treat case presentations from local and international experience were also discussed. At the same time, the symposium focused on the challenging patient population of relapse and non-responder. Roche UAE had three guest speakers who delivered presentations and held discussions during the Roche satellite symposium.
Dr. Eskart Schott from Charite University Hospital in Berlin, Germany and Dr. Emad Fayyad, Medcare Hospital, Dubai, UAE and Dr. Salem Award from Advance Medical Centre, Abu Dhabi, UAE presented the above topics as well as gave a comprehensive scientific overview on HCV treatment.
